Donate Historical Materials
Ridgefield Historical Society was established in part to preserve materials of historical importance, and has a state-of-the-art vault for protecting documents.Before you throw away those old pictures, letters or other documents, please check with us to see if they may be of historical interest!The society welcomes and encourages you to donate materials of historical interest. We are particularly interested in:
- Old photographs, postcards and other images of Ridgefield and its people.
- Old documents that shed light on any aspect of Ridgefield history.
- Old diaries and letters by Ridgefielders, especially those that tell something of life in the town or about the people who lived here.
- Old copies of The Ridgefield Press or area newspapers and magazines containing articles about Ridgefield.
- Old maps of the town or properties in town.
- Old advertisements for houses, estates or businesses in town.
- Books containing information on Ridgefield or its residents.
- Records of past businesses or organizations in town.
