Born in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1962
Grew up in New Jersey & majoring in History at Rutgers University.
Achieved a Masters of Divinity degree from Yale University.
Advanced theological studies at Boston University.

But of equal importance to his theological accomplishments, was the culmination of John’s lifelong interest in American history, in achieving a Masters Degree in History from Harvard University.

It is with these outstanding qualifications, that Rev. Heeckt offered to research & present two lectures on the early religions & churches of Ridgefield, as his & his Church’s contribution to this year’s 300th anniversary celebration of Ridgefield’s founding in 1708.
